CAHRA Board of Directors - 2026 Nominations
We are accepting nominations for the following positions on the 2026 CAHRA Board of Directors:
- President-Elect
- Vice President of Finance
- Vice President of Membership
- Vice President of Monthly Programs
- Vice President of Special Programs
- Vice President of Communications
- General Board – Job Fairs/Special Projects
The nomination deadline is August 22nd, 2025.
The President Elect is a one-year term, but the beginning of a three-year commitment. Serving as President Elect is followed by one year as President and another as Immediate Past President.
The Vice President positions are two-year terms.
The General Board positions are three-year terms.
We encourage members to self-nominate or nominate another CAHRA member you feel would be interested. We will contact all nominees and confirm their interest in serving. If you are interested in more than one position, please let us know.
What’s required of me as a CAHRA Board Member?
- Attend in-person monthly board meeting (first Thursday of each month)
- Attend in-person monthly membership meetings (second Thursday of each month)
- Attend a state leadership orientation (Mt. Magazine, early December)
- Be a current CAHRA member and SHRM member in good standing
- Make an annual $30 donation to the SHRM Foundation
- Attend other committee or special meetings as needed
- Fulfill responsibilities specific to each Board position.

The nominating committee is comprised of several CAHRA members, including the incoming 2026 President. Our goal is to interview candidates sometime between Aug 26th - Sept 6th. The slate of candidates will be announced to the membership at the September membership meeting, and voted upon in October.
